The BizArt Jam is back after a small holiday break. I’ll see you on Tuesday at 20:30, and don’t forget to bring an instrument. Jeff the barman serves tartines if you are bringing your appetite.
Le BizArt Café Turns out, the Troll Café has 90 different beers to choose from. I suggest the Troll Beer because, well, it’s the Troll Café. And I think it was the beer that gave me the courage to play a medley of The Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love” and Michel Polnareff’s “On Ira Tous au Paradis.” As soon as I changed languages and started singing in French (to one of France’s most well-known tunes) it seemed as if the entire bar stopped talking, turned and said, “Hang on a sec, that’s not a Doors song, that’s one of ours!” I only played a fraction of the song, and hope to play it in it’s entirety at the next show. Avez-vous des idées pour une chanson française que je devrais jouer? Dites moi !
For the next couple of months, Chris Kenna, the originator of Le BizArt Jam Session, will be back home on holiday in Australia. He has left me the honor of running the jam session every Tuesday night until he returns to Paris. Let’s keep it rockin’ ! Dans les prochains mois, le créateur du “bœuf” au BizArt Café, sera en vacances en Australie.
